Mom's Morning Out

The focus of Moms Morning Out is for moms of all ages with kids of all ages to get together in a fun and supportive environment where we care for each other and enjoy each other's company while learning and growing. We love the input of all women so even if you aren't a mom or if your kids are grown up we'd love to have you there.

We meet on Thursday mornings September though June from 9am to 11am with babysitting provided. We have tea or coffee together while we chat and catch up with each other and then at 10am we settle down for our study. Our format usually consist of two different books, one is usually about some aspect of family life and the other is theologically based. We will also sometimes run an amazing video series just for a change of pace.

Our group and our study material is always relevant to women, and chosen for women. We welcome women of all ages and stages because we understand a women's life and we all need each other's wisdom and support.

Study Material for January 2012 to Spring Break:

We will be doing a DVD series for the next 9 weeks.  The DVD serried is by Chip Ingram and is called "Effective Parenting in a Defective World".   I watched the first session back at the beginning of December and it remains in mind challenging me!   I really think this study is going to be a wonderful tool with many great ideas and challenges to help us parent our wonderful children.  The dvd does come with a little work book.  This helps you track with the dvd and then challenges us with questions and gives us action steps so we are immediately putting in to practice what we are learning!

Social Events

During the year there are various women's social events that take place. These events will appear on the calendar but the details of the events will appear here.

Summer Get Together's

During the summer we get together at a park on a Thursday morning. Anyone is welcome to come and join us, just bring your sunscreen, a snack, oh and your kids. Watch this space for dates and places we meet.

Is this group only for Mothers with little children?
No, Any women are welcome and infact we love getting other perspectives and insight from women at different stages and places in life.

What if I can't get study prep done by Thursday?
We all understand the demands on a womans time and although we feel you get alot more out of it if you prepare, there are times when you can't get to it and that's okay. Come anyway we would love to see you.

Can I bring my baby?
Yes we have two rooms with baby sitters, one for the babies and one for the toddlers

Why doesn't MMO go year round?
Alot of the women have older children in school and the logistcs are impossible.
